In this paper, we first discuss issues regarding the training in mechanical design
using CAD software to develop the geometric model of the components, the
simulation possibilities of functioning in the case of the model developed, when it
may become part of a virtual setting. We present, in the second part of the paper, in
brief, the reasons for the introduction of virtual reality with immersion in the
processes of theoretical and practical training in mechanical disciplines. There are
some considerations on the methodological implications and we propose an
extension of the model Wegener. We describe a pilot station which is in progress to
test the use of virtual reality in the training activities concerned. We present the first
achievements in this direction namely, proper populating of the virtual setting,
interconnection of Cyber Glove gloves with the virtual setting and manipulating
virtual parts for visual observation and simple assembly operations.

Picu, Ana
This paper studies the way humans perceive vibrations induced by a running
vehicle, starting from Stevens’ Power Law. The measurable physical magnitude
was the acceleration transmitted to the hand-arm system. The measurements were
made with MEASTRO 01dB. A new four components model was developed, based
on the results of this experiment. The conceptual model presented included an
increase in discomfort with vibration magnitude as well as an increase of
discomfort with duration of exposure.

In order to systematize the three monomobile coupling kinematic chains
was essential to find criteria which eliminate those coupling which are
inefficient, from the mobility point of view. It is embraced, as main criteria,
the robot’s manageability, through the volume element analysis, removing,
this way, the decreased mobility points from the working space.

Within the kinematic study of a rigid solid, its motion is studied faceto-
face by a reference system, fixing positions, speeds and accelerations of
a reference system, solidarily connected to the rigid solid.
