<title>Electrodeposition and Characterization of Ni-Si Nanocomposite Coatings</title>
<link>http://arthra.ugal.ro/handle/20.500.14043/26029</link>
<description>Electrodeposition and Characterization of Ni-Si Nanocomposite Coatings
Istrate, Gina Genoveva
In this paper is presented morphological aspects and corrosion behaviour of&#13;
composite coatings having nickel as metal matrix and silicon as dispersed phase&#13;
obtained during electrodeposition process of nickel. Silicon mean diameter size of&#13;
particles particles by 50 nm. The Ni-Si composite coatings were electrodeposited&#13;
from a suspension silicon particles in aqueous nickel sulphate electrolyte by adding&#13;
10g/L and 20g/L of silicon particles in the electrolyte solution. The morphological&#13;
aspects of the coatings and inclusion on particles were investigated using SEM and&#13;
EDX. As test solution NH4OH 0.5M (specific coke industry) was used in a three&#13;
electrode open cell with nickel based nanostructured composite coatings as working&#13;
electrode (WE), a platinum electrode as counter electrode (CE) and an Ag/AgCl&#13;
electrode as reference electrode (RE).

<title>Evaluation of the Occupational Risk Associated to Work Environment in Ferrous Metallurgy</title>

<description>Evaluation of the Occupational Risk Associated to Work Environment in Ferrous Metallurgy
Radu, Tamara; Ciocan, Anișoara
Work environment present risk factors due to chemical pollution of ambient&#13;
air with dust, smoke, fumes, vapors, mists and gases. Moreover physical risk factors&#13;
(related to noise, lighting, temperature, vibration, humidity, radiation) lead to&#13;
hazards with varying degrees of significance. In this paper were identified the&#13;
hazards associated with the work place for a maintenance worker who works in all&#13;
sectors of metallurgical plant. The risk assessment was made in terms of severity&#13;
and probability, combining these two factors in a risk matrix. From the analysis the&#13;
significant hazards (unacceptable) related to work environment resulted. These are&#13;
caused by the presence of the following pollutants: toxic gases (VOCs, PAHs,&#13;
dioxins, furans), explosive flammable gases (methane gas, blast furnace gas, bigaz,&#13;
oxygen), carbon monoxide and particulate matter.

<description>Radial Forging Machine. Technology for Axle Type Parts
Hanganu, Doru; Neacșu, Marian
This paper presents three types of radial forging machines to produce the axle&#13;
type pieces. The new types of radial forging machines are presented cinematically.&#13;
The movement of the deformation tools at these types of machines is compared with&#13;
the motion at the existing machines.

<title>Effect of Oxidation on Spectrophotometric and Rheological Parameters of Corn Oil</title>
<link>http://arthra.ugal.ro/handle/20.500.14043/26026</link>
<description>Effect of Oxidation on Spectrophotometric and Rheological Parameters of Corn Oil
Șolea, Liviu; Crețu, Romică
The aim of this study is the viscosity’s evolution depending on the temperature&#13;
and the shear rate and the analysis of the transmittance spectra of the oxidized corn&#13;
oil. Corn oil was oxidized of the temperatures of 100°C, 110°C, 120°C, the periods&#13;
of time of oxidation being 5 to 10 hours. An increase of the viscosity depending on&#13;
the increase of oxidation temperature and oxidation time is to be noticed.&#13;
Increasing of the oxidation temperature and the period of oxidation is the cause of&#13;
the progressing color difference of the oxidized oils comparing to non-oxidized corn&#13;
oil.
