<title>Some Physical Changes in Extra Virgin Rapeseed Oil after the Process</title>
<link>http://arthra.ugal.ro/handle/20.500.14043/24682</link>
<description>Some Physical Changes in Extra Virgin Rapeseed Oil after the Process
Şolea, Liviu Cătălin; Ştefănescu, Ioan; Zgherea, Gheorghe; Creţu, Romică
The aim of this study is the viscosity’s evolution depending on the temperature and the&#13;
shear rate and the analysis at the transmittance spectra of the oxidized rapeseed oil.&#13;
Rapeseed oil was oxidized at the temperatures of 110°C, 120°C, 130°C, the periods of&#13;
time of oxidation being 5 to 10 hours. An increase of viscosity depending on the&#13;
increase of oxidation temperature and oxidation time is to be noticed. Increasing of the&#13;
oxidation temperature and the period of oxidation is the cause of the progressing color&#13;
difference of the oxidized oils comparied to non-oxidized rapeseed oil.

<title>Spectrophotometric and Rheological Studies on Oxidized Soybean Oils</title>
<link>http://arthra.ugal.ro/handle/20.500.14043/24681</link>
<description>Spectrophotometric and Rheological Studies on Oxidized Soybean Oils
Şolea, Liviu Cătălin; Creţu, Romică
This paper presents a rheological and spectrophotometric study of oxidized and nonoxidized&#13;
soybean oils at 100, 110 and 120°C temperatures. The oxidation periods of&#13;
time were 5 hours and 10 hours. Changes of the oxidized oil transmittance spectra&#13;
comparing to non-oxidized oil transmittance spectra were observed, and we emphasized&#13;
the color differences which appeared following the oxidation phenomena. Meanwhile,&#13;
an increase of the viscosity while increasing the oxidation parameters was noted.&#13;
Spectrophotometric and rheological analysis can provide information on the degree of&#13;
oxidation of vegetable oils.&#13;
KEYWORDS: transmittance, viscosity

<title>Experimental Dynamics of a Bridge Deck Isolated with Rolling Pendulum System (RPS)</title>
<link>http://arthra.ugal.ro/handle/20.500.14043/24680</link>
<description>Experimental Dynamics of a Bridge Deck Isolated with Rolling Pendulum System (RPS)
Şcheaua, Fănel Dorel
Base isolation of building structures represents the most important&#13;
technique used worldwide at this moment. An innovative isolation system is&#13;
presented in this article, whose passive type operating principle is based&#13;
on rolling of spherical pieces on concave surface part. The isolation&#13;
system is composed of two main plates and a spherical steel piece is&#13;
interposed between. Spherical part is the piece that makes disconnection&#13;
between foundation and superstructure, being able to roll on a concave&#13;
surface. The disconnection between foundation and superstructure is&#13;
essential so that ground movements as results of seismic actions are&#13;
filtered and efforts that may request the structure are much lower in value.&#13;
An experiment was performed in which a scaled bridge deck structure type&#13;
was isolated with four isolation systems, in order to observe the behavior&#13;
of the structure during a seismic action. The experimental results obtained&#13;
are presented for acceleration in time and frequency, for the three main&#13;
directions of movement.

<title>Comparative Modal Analysis of a Rigid Structure with Conservative Insulation</title>
<link>http://arthra.ugal.ro/handle/20.500.14043/24679</link>
<description>Comparative Modal Analysis of a Rigid Structure with Conservative Insulation
Potârniche, Aurora
This paper deals with dynamics of compact rigid structures with elastic&#13;
insulation and subjected to various vibratory, shock or seismic actions. It&#13;
was supposed a simple rigid model with six degrees of freedom, affected by&#13;
one or both vertical symmetry planes. Modal analysis was performed for&#13;
six different rigidity cases. Concluding remarks dignify the correlation&#13;
between isolation characteristics and natural pulsation in terms of&#13;
eigenvalues and eigenvectors.
