<title>Experimental Model for Pollutants Monitoring Into the Coke-Chemical Plant</title>
<link>http://arthra.ugal.ro/handle/20.500.14043/25681</link>
<description>Experimental Model for Pollutants Monitoring Into the Coke-Chemical Plant
Munteanu, Viorel; Vlad, Maria; Balint, Lucica
The Coke-Chemical plants contribute heavily to producing and emitting in the&#13;
atmosphere a big amount of polluting agents.&#13;
Polluting emissions diminution and situating them within the international&#13;
specific standards, can be realized by introducing a monitoring model with&#13;
automate prominence of atmospheric noxa concentrations and with the possibility of&#13;
connecting it to an open communication system. In the paper is conceived an&#13;
experimental model for noxa and pollutants monitoring and in a frame of a polluting&#13;
field existing in the coke-chemical sector from an integrated iron and steel complex.

The paper is focused on a study of how to use the steam from recovery boilers&#13;
of LD converters to produce electricity in turbine generators and heat in a heat&#13;
network.

<title>Time Scales of Phisico-Chemicaly Driven Processes in Desulphurization CaO-Al2O3 Slag</title>
<link>http://arthra.ugal.ro/handle/20.500.14043/25679</link>
<description>Time Scales of Phisico-Chemicaly Driven Processes in Desulphurization CaO-Al2O3 Slag
Niță, Petre Stelian
The paper is dealing with the expression of times scales associated to different&#13;
physically and physico-chemically driven processes taking place on the slag side of&#13;
the interface CaO-Al2O3 slags-steel, specific to the steel refining process. The&#13;
driving process is that presenting the shortest time scale in comparable conditions&#13;
with others. The time scale of the main physico-chemically driven process at&#13;
interface steel-slag, on the slag side serves to evaluate the local interfacial flow. In&#13;
this paper the conditions to evaluate the time scales are connected to the&#13;
characteristic length scale of solutocapillarity effect in the form of Marangoni&#13;
convection which results to be the faster process at the specified length scale taken&#13;
into account, over the critical values of the solutal parameters, called threshold&#13;
values.

<title>Effects of Plastic Deformation and Temperature on Microstructural and Mechanical Properties of a CuAlNi Shape Memory Alloy</title>
<link>http://arthra.ugal.ro/handle/20.500.14043/25678</link>
<description>Effects of Plastic Deformation and Temperature on Microstructural and Mechanical Properties of a CuAlNi Shape Memory Alloy
Gurău, Carmela; Gurău, Gheorghe
In Cu 12.88% wt.Al4 %wt. Ni shape memory alloy the influence of plastic&#13;
deformation and thermal treatments on the microstructures and hardness were&#13;
studied by optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Vickers&#13;
Hardness. The plastic deformation on the austenite (b) was studied at temperatures&#13;
T&gt;Md when transformation can occur with no stress or strain induced condition.&#13;
Lattice defects were introduced into stable austenite of a Cu Al Ni alloy by a hot&#13;
rolling, in one pass, and subsequent quenching after leaving the rolling cylinders.&#13;
From microstructural observations it has been seen that two b1&#13;
’(18R) and g1 (2H) martensite phases coexists at different fractions in the undeformed and deformed&#13;
states. Plastic deformation causes change in the relative amounts of b1&#13;
’ and g1 martensites with a new morphology. The finest martensite structure has been&#13;
obtained by thermo-mechanical treatment. The hardness test highlights the influence&#13;
of treatments tightly correlated with the structures obtained.
