<description>Analysis of Factors with Considerable Action on Recycling Weee Focused on Metals Recovery
Ciocan, Anișoara
From an economic point of view, the driving force of rapid technological&#13;
development of WEEE recycling solutions is the recovery of valuable metals, until&#13;
not long ago just on copper and gold. Nowadays many other metals have become&#13;
the target of WEEE recycling. From this point of view, the importance of WEEE&#13;
recycling results from the analysis of factors with considerable action on this&#13;
process. This paper highlights the necessity of WEEE recycling by analyzing the&#13;
following key issues regarding the recovery of valuable metals. The study was&#13;
mainly focused on the following aspects: electronic waste is a significant source of&#13;
base and precious metals, and also of scarce metals; many of the metals which are&#13;
essential in the manufacture of EEE; the availability of metals necessary in the&#13;
production of EEE constantly decreases; supply shortages for many elements&#13;
obtained from natural resources; worldwide ore reserves are limited and unequally&#13;
distributed; in the world, the production of essential metals in the construction of a&#13;
mobile phone is dominated by a few companies; the extraction of many metals in a&#13;
ore deposit is co-dependent on other factors.

<title>The Quality of Metal Products Made on CNC Machines</title>
<link>http://arthra.ugal.ro/handle/20.500.14043/25828</link>
<description>The Quality of Metal Products Made on CNC Machines
Pușcaș (Popescu), Nela
Contemporary market must provide products that adapt to customer needs,&#13;
which requires large investments and long-term employment. Producers have to&#13;
take care of the buyers’ different way of thinking. The quality of products and&#13;
services is an important economic indicator. The paper presents studies and&#13;
research in the field of bending of metal parts (thickness between 1 and 3 mm) on&#13;
CNC machines. This paper tries to provide answers to the many problems arising in&#13;
the companies due to the quality of the economic goods. In the technological flow of&#13;
the achievement of a metal product, bending is very important, the quality and&#13;
conformity of the product depending on this operation. The paper proposes&#13;
laborious research and studies on determining the drawings of metal parts with the&#13;
thickness between 1 and 3 mm, considering that other variables such: the&#13;
temperature variation during the processes of punching and bending, tool usage,&#13;
the tolerance between the surfaces of the bending tools, the vibrations of the&#13;
machines, their usage and the roughness of the sheet metals may influence the&#13;
quality and precision of the products. The calculation of the drawing (the geometry&#13;
in plane of the piece) becomes important because it must include the deformation&#13;
caused by the bending operation.

<title>Investigation of Mechanical Properties and Corrosion Behaviour for 1010 Carbon Steel Pipes Used for Steam Boilers</title>

<description>Investigation of Mechanical Properties and Corrosion Behaviour for 1010 Carbon Steel Pipes Used for Steam Boilers
Harb Abou, Alaa; Ciuca, Ion; Rahali, Bilel; Gheța, Roxana-Alexandra
Depending on the conditions of their use, most equipment gets deteriorated in&#13;
time. In this paper the corrosion rate (CR) was verified by using the experiment of&#13;
weight loss (WL) of specimens from steam boiler pipes (SBP) made of 1010 carbon&#13;
steel with a thickness of 4 mm. CR was calculated by specimens’ weight loss in the&#13;
corrosive environment at 25 °C in 5% NaCl - 10% H2O2 solution which reproduces&#13;
the environment in the plant during specific times.&#13;
The mechanical properties which were verified include hardness test and&#13;
tensile test. The results that have been obtained through tensile curves and hardness&#13;
properties on specimens 1 and 2 were compared to a non-service specimen (3)&#13;
made of 1010 carbon steel. It is concluded that there was an increase in the&#13;
properties of tensile and a decrease of hardness for both specimens by comparing&#13;
them with a non-service specimen. Due to overheating, a deposition of layers of&#13;
lime (CaO) on the pipes was caused. It is noticed that the decrease of the&#13;
mechanical properties leads to increased corrosion.

<title>Object Oriented Architecture for Product Information System Engineering</title>
<link>http://arthra.ugal.ro/handle/20.500.14043/25826</link>
<description>Object Oriented Architecture for Product Information System Engineering
Rahali, Bilel; Abou Harb, Alaa
The product information system is an organizational device for regulating the&#13;
creation, circulation, use and evolution of the information assets of the product&#13;
definitions. It refers to all the information that defines how the product is designed,&#13;
manufactured and used.&#13;
Product information systems have become a critical element for the&#13;
enterprises to support their process of product offer definition.&#13;
The company SOTACIB itself assembles these production elements (from the&#13;
basic composition phase to the final phase). Our application provides a&#13;
computerized management system for the technical data of the product&#13;
manufacturing. Its objective is to support the development activities of the cement&#13;
product by preparing atomized powders such as grinding, controlling the&#13;
parameters of the slip, by sieving and final atomization. An UML modeling of the&#13;
system is developed in the context of a driven approach centered on a proposed&#13;
architecture.
