Abstract
This thesis addresses the problem of development of more effective methods and
techniques of water surface treatment, namely by application of sonic technology.
The purpose of this thesis was to achieve the practical installation for the sonic
treatment of raw water in the continuous operating mode in industrial level and determine the operating modes for which the effect of application of sonic technology is maximum.
It has been made a detailed study on the treatment of raw water in double frequency
sound field and on the constructional and functional principles of gas kinetics sonic generators with two resonators used in sonic treatment.
It has been conceived a method to calculate the double frequency gas kinetics generators with two resonators designed to treat raw water for drinking water production. It
has been developed a method for calculating the vertical, experimental water settler combined with the accelerating – ascending settler with the possibility of equipping this with gas kinetics sonic generator.
The experiment showed two frequency: sonic frequency produced by the generator was 10.76 kHz, and the ultrasonic frequency was - 21.520 kHz.
The paper presents the results of experimental research at the Water Plant in Braila.
We evaluated the physical-chemical and microbiological indicators in different operating regimes of the generator. Results were analyzed and there have been found optimal regimes where sonic effect is maximum.
Creating a new technology of sonic treatment for raw water allows removal of disinfection phase, and is preferred for environmental reasons.
Annual efficiency of raw water sonic treatment is 36.415% and the profit using sonic system is 355.25 EURO / year
